Tickets are still available for an ever-growing amazing line-up of music at TheOhanaFest.com. \nThree years ago\, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and the surfing world’s #1 surfer\, Kelly Slater\, decided to create a music festival at Doheny Beach – Ohana Fest – because they love surfing there and at nearby Trestles. \nIt’s rumored that Vedder and Slater are still engaged in the selection of musicians for their own festival\, and this has proven to be the most surprising\, eclectic and stellar music festival I’ve witnessed in a long time. There is no “theme” here as is usual in festivals today – you may hear pop on one stage\, followed by country on the next stage\, and techno following on another stage. \nWhile there are “giants” performing every day\, it’s the up-and-comers you really want to pay attention to. Most of these people have amazing backstories – stuff you just don’t hear about in a normal person’s life – and many stand as testament to surviving extraordinary odds. It’s quite serene and lovely. The music\, though\, is far from serene. This is a fun\, rocking evening no matter who’s on stage. \nPack up your chairs and picnic blankets (no placement before 3:00 p.m. please) and tote in a picnic basket with all your favorites. It’s a great friendly crowd of locals and visitors alike\, and a perfect way to end a weekend and begin the week ahead. \nWrapping up the concert series on Sunday\, Aug. 26th\, it’s none other than the popular tribute band to Carlos Santana\, Santanaways. What a cool and groovy way to say goodbye to yet another great season. \nBluebird Park is located on Cress Street between Temple Terrace and Bluebird Canyon Drive.

DESCRIPTION:The County of Orange and OC Parks always schedules an annual outdoor summer concert series with 10 free concerts at Craig Regional Park\, Mason Regional Park\, Mile Square Regional Park\, Irvine Regional Park and Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach. If you’re willing to travel\, just check out the events scheduled at the other parks listed at OCParks.com \nBut\, if you’re interested in staying in or near your ‘hood\, check out Aug. 6th at Salt Creek Beach\, with The White Buffalo + Matt Costa. \nThe White Buffalo is the professional moniker and stage name of American musician and singer/songwriter Jake Smith. Raised in California\, Jake Smith grew up listening to country music and punk rock. The largest influences on his songwriting are folk singers such as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. His music is a blend of folk\, modern rock\, and alternative country He began creating albums in 2002. When a bootleg tape of Smith’s music made it into the hands of pro surfer Chris Malloy\, one of his songs\, “Wrong\,” was featured in his popular surf movie\, Shelter. This eventually led to further film scoring and composing work\, with many of his songs featured in FX’s hit show Sons of Anarchy and Showtime’s Californication. \nParking and the event = FREE. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for guests to enjoy the beer garden\, food trucks\, and to save their spot on the grass for the concert! All concerts are from 6 to 8 p.m.\, free and open to the public of all ages. Concertgoers 21 and over can purchase beer and wine at the beer tent.

Browning has played with everyone from the Righteous Brothers to Iron Butterfly\, and his bandmates bear similar long bios of global stage play. \nBluebird Park is located on Cress Street between Temple Terrace and Bluebird Canyon Drive.

Their playful passion captures enthusiasm from audiences of all ages. \nIndividually these four accomplished musicians based in Los Angeles have played with the likes of Bocelli\, Barbara Streisand\, Yo-Yo Ma\, Annie Lennox\, Michael Jackson\, Layla Hathaway\, Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan. Together\, Quattrosound raises the bar of originality with clever compositions and arrangements that “pay homage to the classics” and forge a new contemporary sound.
