Surfers Healing was founded in 1997 by Izzy and Danielle Paskowitz\, parents of Isaiah\, now a 26-year-old autistic adult. Izzy is a former professional Longboarder who won several of the biggest surf contests in the world\, and he and Danielle are stars of the reality show\, The Swell Life\, which aired on Oprah’s television network\, OWN. The June 3 event will be hosted by Izzy\, Danielle\, and Isaiah. Supporting their efforts on the beach will be their son Eli\, daughter Elah and her fiancé Andrew\, their grandchildren\, and their Autism Ohana – Surfers Healing. \nLast year\, Surfers Healing celebrated its 20 years of what is now #oneperfectday of surf sand\, fun inclusion\, natural healing and acceptance. The surfers who take the kids out are all hand-picked by Izzy. DESCRIPTION:In its annual Art & Nature festival\, Laguna Art Museum presents special exhibitions\, a commissioned outdoor work of art\, lectures\, panel discussions\, films\, and family activities on the theme of art’s engagement with the natural world. \nOn November 3\, 2018\, Elizabeth Turk’s Shoreline Project will bring together 1\,000 volunteer performers for a site-specific performance in Laguna Beach. The project is the commissioned work of art for Laguna Art Museum’s sixth annual Art & Nature\, and will take place at sunset on Main Beach. With LED-illuminated umbrellas designed as an evolution of the artist’s Seashell X-ray Mandala series\, the 1\,000 performers will converge on the shoreline in both spontaneous and choreographed movement. Shoreline Project will create a shared common experience amongst the performers and an engaging spectacle for viewers from the surrounding cliffs and buildings.

It’s a great evening for spotting the best kids’ costume around. \nCity staff will provide barricades to block vehicle traffic on Oak Street and Brooks Street between Catalina and Temple Terrace for the annual Halloween event starting at 5:00 p.m. The event will conclude at 9:00 p.m.\, and police personnel will reopen the streets at approximately 9:30 p.m. after the residents have had the opportunity to clean up. Police personnel will be assigned to the event to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

DESCRIPTION:The beginning of all slasher horror genre films was the head-clutching screamer\, Halloween\, the movie. Now\, it’s 40th anniversary is fast approaching. I can still remember the reverberations this movie caused when I was just eeking out of elementary school in 1978 – it had much the impact as “The Exorcist” had on audiences in 1973\, and changed the look of horror films forever. \nIn Halloween\, a young boy kills his sister on Halloween of 1963\, and is sent to a mental hospital. 15 years later he escapes and returns to his home town in order to wreak havoc. This is where Jamie Lee Curtis earned a place in history for vocal screaming – and surprising dexterity and calm in the face of “adverse” circumstances.
