DESCRIPTION:Last year’s production of ANNIE was so popular\, No Square Theater is bringing it back. Adult auditions are Saturday\, September 22\, starting at 6:30 p.pm.\, and youth auditions are set for October 8 and 9. Forms and audition details are available on the website: www.nosquare.org \nThis wildly popular\, Tony Award-winning musical (Music by Charles Strouse\, lyrics by Martin Charnin)\, will be directed by Joe Lauderdale and choreographed by Ellen Prince. With a minimally staged concept\, this production places much more emphasis on the actors and the story rather than scenery\, making the Ensemble even more important than it would be in a traditionally mounted production. \nPerformances will be Friday-Sunday\, November 30—December 22. General rehearsals begin October 10\, Monday –Friday\, 6:30-10:00 PM and Saturday 10:00-5:00\, at No Square Theatre. (Schedule is approximate and subject to change.) \nStrong performers are desired for leading roles and ensemble parts. In ANNIE\, the spunky orphan with humble beginnings in 1930s New York City\, inspires everyone with her enduring positive attitude. Standout songs include “It’s a Hard Knock Life\,” “Easy Street\,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You\,” and the ultimate anthem of optimism\, “Tomorrow.” \n

That’s the official line from Laguna Beach … now\, for the real scoop: \nThe Laguna Beach Art Walk is a great bit of strolling and trolley-ing fun throughout Laguna Beach\, all packed into just a few hours on the first Thursday of each month.\nAugust’s event on Aug. 2nd promises to be a biggie as it’s the last official Art Walk of summer. Expect many\, many galleries to be open throughout the City\, and expect hundreds and hundreds of milling throngs as people drop in on their favorite galleries to chat with artists in person\, grab great art at sometimes-special pricing\, sip wine and gnosh on free goodies. \nYou can also expect to see restaurants and other retail shops in on the game of it\, too\, keeping their doors open well past their usual closing hours. \nI usually head out with a few friends and we make a night of it with both walking and trolley rides. \nTROLLEY SERVICE\nFree trolley service for art walk starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 9:30 pm. Trolleys begin at the Laguna Art Museum (north) and Bluebird Canyon Road (south). The trolley route runs as far north as Viejo Street\, up Laguna Canyon Road as far as Canyon Acres\, and south to Bluebird Canyon Road. Map \nPARKING\nMetered parking is available along Coast Hwy. and a few blocks inland on either side of the street and is free after 7:00 pm. If you prefer\, you may park in the residential area located 2-3 blocks inland from Coast Hwy.

When he arrives there with his wife and son\, they learn that the previous caretaker had gone mad. Slowly Jack becomes possessed by the evil\, demonic presence in the hotel.

By day\, you’ll find the company offering a hearty serving of Laguna Beach-based kayak\, stand-up paddle and surf lessons – all provided by Fried and his intrepid squad of “funtrepreneurs.” By night\, though\, it’s the Drum Circle that rules. \nThe Drum Circle always takes place at the Aliso Creek Beach\, about two miles south of Main Beach\, just past the Montage Resort.
