It’s the non-profit organization’s largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds benefitting OI’s Adopt-A-Class program\, which bring underserved students to the Ocean Institute for hands-on immersion in whale watching\, tall ships sailing\, fun educational workshops and more.Saturday Night Gala\nOn Saturday night\, March 2nd\, it’s the Institute’s gala dinner with a 5-course gourmet dinner while guests listen to live jazz and participate\, again\, in a live auction.\nMonarch Beach Resort is this year’s Premier Catering Sponsor\, so Executive Chef Collin Thorton will be creating two of the gourmet courses at Saturday night’s gala dinner. Additionally\, chefs from our own Montage Laguna Beach and The Ranch at Laguna Beach also will be participating.

DESCRIPTION:The Annual Patriot’s Day Parade is back!On the first Saturday of each March\, a hundred marching units assemble in Laguna beach to step off in the annual Parade. The parade also honors citizens who have served the community\, and those who have served the nation in time of war or national emergency.

DESCRIPTION:The Festival of Whales Parade 10 AM – The Annual Festival of Whales Parade in Dana Point kicks off the two weekend celebration of the California Grey Whale migration.The parade embraces the Festival’s theme of Magical Migration with parade floats and entries decorating in an ocean/whale theme and costumes. Giant helium parade balloons of a Blue Whale\, Orca and many other sea life creatures fill the air over head during the parade.\nThe parade promptly begins at 10 AM with a route along Pacific Coast Highway beginning at Selva Road and ending at Golden Lantern in Dana Point\, approximately 1 mile. FREE shuttle service to and from Harbor parking lots to the parade viewing area will be available beginning one hour (9 AM) from the parade start time.\nCome early and enjoy breakfast in the harbor before catching a shuttle to the parade viewing area. He got his first taste of stand up while attending UCSB and begin to take the business of laughter more seriously after graduating and spending a few years as a Special Education Teacher.\nMost recently\, Chinedu starred in a short film for HBO called The Big Chop and will be in two upcoming films this year: #TwoMinutesofFame and It’s A Party. Previously he was featured on FOX’s The Mindy Project\, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network\, FOX’s LaughsTV and Hulu’s Coming to the Stage. He’s tours colleges and comedy clubs nationwide and has toured overseas to entrain the troops stationed in Jordan\, Egypt and Greece. Chinedu did not type this.
