Last year, the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach began our Christmas season with true style by lighting the tallest Christmas tree in all of Laguna Beach.
They’re at it again this year on MONDAY, Nov. 28th, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Montage Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, 2011. Of course, in classic Montage style, the event is free to all hotel residents AND community – they love seeing their Laguna Beach residents there.
Throughout the celebratory evening, the Montage Laguna Beach offers a veritable feast of drink, food, holiday carolers, live music, children’s activities and more. But there’s nothing better than the magnificent tree lighting, which takes place shortly after 5:00 on the Montage grounds just past the pool by the Studio restaurant. (That’s right. Skip out of work early and grab your kids – this is a great moment as holiday moments go.)
This Laguna Beach tree lighting will be everything you hoped for. This past week, a 60-foot White Fir tree found its way to Laguna beach, rounding its final corner into the Montage Resort and into the waiting hands of the phenomenal Ambius crew. Once again, Laguna Beach resident Chris Karl has been leading the crew into the many, many branches. Last year, it was 24,000 lights, and the goal this year is for more than 50,000. I can’t wait to see it!
