If you’ve been a reader of LagunaBeachBest.com for any length of time, you know I’m a die-hard holidays fan. Three years ago, I implemented an easy “seek and find” contest to celebrate the many original painted holiday palettes by our Laguna Beach-based artists. Each year before Thanksgiving, crews work tirelessly to place more than 200 hand-painted palettes on light poles throughout Laguna Beach. I simply take photos of certain palettes and the first person to find the “Palette of the Day” wins a great prize.
The contest caught on so well that it’s returning once again in our Facebook page at facebook.com/BestofLagunaBeach. Each year, more retailers, restaurants and resorts get involved with fun prizes for the people who are able to locate the “Palette of the Day” in Laguna Beach.
This year, it seems everyone is participating with contest prizes, and I’ve already been out, photographing many holiday palettes to participate in the contest. It’s going to be a Holiday Palette Brawl.
