If you think you’re consigned to being a landlubber all your life, think again. We have two great ocean-activity entities here in Laguna Beach whose only goal in life is to get you out on that great ocean of ours. And they’re the nicest, gentlest teachers around.
Throughout the 4th of July weekend, The Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Company is doing individual and group lessons right behind its shop. They’ll suit you up with all the right gear and, in 60 minutes, you’ll be the latest devotee to the stand up paddle craze currently sweeping Planet Earth. Then, there’s the fabulous LaVida Laguna, Laguna beach’s “Eco-Adventure Company,” founded about 9 years ago by Billy Fried. These guys offer everything from surf lessons to beach parties and group treasure hunts, and they’re the reigning king of the renowned Full Moon Drum Circle.
