It’s hard to believe that the NINTH annual Spring Fling Potluck Festival at the South Laguna Community Garden Park is already upon us. It takes place on Sunday, April 29th, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
It’s also hard to believe that the face we came to know so well at our beloved South Laguna Community Park is gone from us. The founder and “godfather” of the Park, Morrie Granger, passed away recently. This year, it’s all the more important to show your face as we’ll be honoring Morrie and his tireless commitment to the creation and ongoing existence of this lovely park. Morrie came up with the idea, gathered people and voices, negotiated the land, negotiated the dirt, and even pulled other people’s plots of weeds. He will be dearly missed.
This year from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., join in the festivities with live music, kids’ games an neighborly fun. Bring your own beverage and a potluck dish to share. ALL residents and visitors to Laguna Beach are, of course, welcome – it’s the only way Morrie Granger would have had it.
