Laguna Beach’s famed Pageant of the Masters 2019 is the only one of its kind in the world. In its 86th year this summer of 2019, the Pageant of the Master’s theme is “The Time Machine.” Marty McFly from “Back to the Future” and Doctor Who owe a debt to Victorian writer H.G. Wells who published his first novel, The Time Machine, in 1895. Wells tapped into a fascination for time travel that continues to inspire artists in every medium.
