The famed Doheny Beach (where surfing actually got its fame in the early days), is host to its annual Surf Festival on June 24th and 25th, 2017.A giant 2-day celebration of the SoCal surfing lifestyle, the Doheny Surf Festival is an enormous surfers’ vendor village, a 1960s surf contest, tandem surf exhibitions, a Woodie car collection, a Kona Beer Garden, live music and great food. Oh . . . and there are surfing contests galore, too, with men’s and women’s heats that range in age from wee tots to our seniors we admire so greatly.
