Every month, The Broadway by Amar Santana hosts a gorgeous wine dinner with a spotlight on rare vintages and an innovative, one-of-a-kind paired menu to compliment the wines.
The monthly wine dinners regularly sell out well in advance as each offers a peak into high-level wines you would be hard pressed to discover and cellar on your own.
On Wednesday, Nov. 12th, Chef Amar and Managing Partner Ahmed Labbate have raised the bar with the surprise announcement that Laguna residents Steve and Seanne Contursi will be in person to present their highly acclaimed vintages from their own Napa vineyard, Arrow&Branch.
While traveling in 1985, Steve and Seanne fell in love with the wines of Bordeaux and decided, from that week forward, that they would eventually found their own vineyard with the specific intent to produce Bordeaux style wines in Napa Valley.
True to form, they broke ground in 1997 and hired on an up-and-coming star, Jennifer Williams, as their wine maker. And, in just a few short years (and a tremendous amount of behind the scenes work), Arrow&Branch is now recognized worldwide for its magnificent wines.
At the Nov. 12th dinner, the Contursis and their winemaker, Jennifer, will be walking guests through several exclusive vintages, including a Sauvignon Blanc, two Cabernets and a Cabernet Franc blend. Meanwhile, Chef Amar has innovated pairings for each of the five courses. He will, undoubtedly, create another memorable meal for his guests.
