With Father’s Day just around the corner (this Sunday!), I’ve been perusing various offerings and activities for you and your Dad in and around or little berg.
While there are plenty of great restaurants with added Father’s Day specials, I particularly like these two options, both of which involve activity in a somewhat “manly arena.”
The Ranch: Golf, Burgers & Beer
I’m not sure there’s more I can add after that well-said headline. What dad doesn’t like golf, burgers and beer, especially when they’re all rolled into one outing?
On Sunday, June 19th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., you have all the makings of a memorable afternoon on the links, with Chef Camron’s already-famous burgers at end of play. Dads are invited to bring in their funniest or best homemade Father’s Day card to compete for a free round of golf.
The day’s event is $59 per person. Call the Pro Shop, (949) 499-1919 to reserve your party.
Dana Wharf: Father’s Day Cruise with Giant BBQ Buffet
If your dad is more of a water sports kind of guy, head down to the Dana Point Harbor for Dana Wharf’s annual sell-out – the Father’s Day Dinner Cruise.
The longtime cruise and fishing operation will be loading dads and their family and friends to the 95-foot Dana Pride for a 2-hour coastline cruise. You’ll have live classic rock & roll playing and an enormous BBQ Buffet that serves up everything from homemade coleslaw to fresh baked desserts, and every kind of meat and grilled veggie in between. A full cash bar is also available.
Scheduled from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., the Father’s Day Dinner Cruise is $59 per adult and $29 per child.
This event is always a sell out, so call as quickly as possible: (949) 496-5794, ext. 7 or go online to http://DanaWharf.com
We’re due for sunny skies and warm temperatures on Sunday, and either of these activities is perfect for fun in the sun. Get out there and enjoy it with the special dad in your life!
