[singlepic id=489 w=320 h=240 mode=watermark float=right]As if you didn’t have enough to do this week with all the Laguna Beach Plein Air events, now you have an entire weekend of the finest beach volleyball in the L.A. Basin. On Main Beach this Saturday and Sunday (Oct 15th & 16th), it’s the return of The King and Queen of the Beach Volleyball Tournaments.
This is a very cool, challenging event that brings in elite players from all over Southern California. It’s one of the few tourneys set up in a round robin format, so players play with a different partner each game. While they adapt to each others’ playing styles, you’ll be treated to a true inside view of what elite-level beach volleyball play is all about.
The Men’s Tourney begins at about 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and runs all the day long. The Women take to the courts on Sunday, same time, same beach, and all-day tournament play as well.
While the elite participants are already set, you’re welcome to call in questions to the supreme organizer behind this popular, annual event, Kirk Morgan – he can be reached at (714) 381-4000.
As Kirk says, “See you on the sand!”
