Gather up your family, friends and dogs and come on down this Sunday (Nov. 3rd) to the 7th Annual “My Best Friend’s Brunch,” 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Of course, all well-mannered dogs are happily welcome.
While pooches get in free as the day’s honored guests, pre-sale tickets for accompanying people are $25 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12. (At the door, tickets are $30 and $15, respectively.) Get tickets here.
The folks at Tivoli Too will be serving up a massive brunch, DJ entertainment from local radio hero KX 93.5, and numerous raffle prizes.
Years ago, the Best Friend’s Brunch was the brainchild of Laguna Beach Dog Park founders as a way to raise funds for the park’s sizable care and maintenance. Brunch attendance proved so healthy that funding quickly expanded to help additional, doggie-oriented groups such as RUFF (Rescuing Unwanted Furry Friends) and the animal shelter.
Last year, more than 100 families and individuals enjoyed gourmet food and mimosas in the restaurant’s Tuscan courtyard while dogs scooped up brunch treats of their own.
The event raised several thousand dollars, topping its 2011 records. Event organizers note that the numbers only increase with each passing year, and point to the unstopping generosity of Laguna Beach families and visitors who drive in from all points to enjoy the Laguna Dog Park. This year, help these organizations continue their record-breaking pace by taking just a couple hours to enjoy food, fun and live music … all in the name of good dogs. (woof)
