The giant California Wine Festival is back in play in just a couple weekends, Friday and Saturday, April 20 & 21 at Dana Point’s Lantern Bay Park (top of the hill overlooking the Harbor by the Laguna Cliffs Marriott). Tickets for this event sell out well in advance, so I’m giving you a head start. If you want to attend this event,  best you get tickets as quickly as possible.

First, the Most Important News:
Less than 20 VIP tickets remain for Saturday’s portion (April 21st) of the wine-tasting festival. VIPs on Saturday get into the event an hour before those with general admission tickets. They also have exclusive access to the VIP Pavilion with reserve level wines, giant cheese and fruit displays, and complimentary gourmet food from seven popular Orange County restaurants. Plus, you have plenty of tables, chairs and shade!

Now, For the Rest of the Details …
Playing host to more than 2,500 attendees, this is the state’s largest Wine Festival featuring hundreds and hundreds of wine tastes.

Friday: Rare Wine Tasting
On Friday evening, the festivities begin with a Sunset Reserve & Rare Wine Tasting event at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. From 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., vintners will be pouring their finest wines. You’ll have plenty of chocolate, cheese, fruit and gourmet munchies.

Saturday: Hundreds of Wines, Food & Live Music
On Saturday, the wine-loving masses descend, with just 500 VIP-ticketed and Early Entrance-ticketed people given early access at noon. They have a full hour to roam the grounds before the gates officially open to the public at 1:00 p.m. The event rolls until 4:00 p.m.

In the VIP Pavilion, you will find rare and reserve wines as well as gourmet food treats from local South County chefs. There will be plenty of food bites throughout the main festival, too.
