Chef Amar Santana is teaming up with Lung Cancer Foundation of America for a “Cook with Chef Amar” virtual cooking class on Saturday, Oct. 2nd from noon to 1 p.m.
Chef started his first restaurant here in Laguna Beach, Broadway by Amar Santana. He later opened Vaca by the South Coast Repertory in South Coast Plaza and most recently opened The Hall, a food hall in Costa Mesa as well.
On Oct. 2nd, the live/virtual event is hosted by New York Times bestselling author, activist, and actress living with lung cancer Annabelle Gurwitch for LCFA’s inaugural Day at the Chef’s Table event.
Chef Amar shares his passion in food with 2 amateur chefs. Lung cancer patient and advocate, Lysa Buonanno and LCFA’s Young Investigator grant award recipient Triparna Sen will prepare one of Chef’s speciality dishes – under his expert guidance.
Tickets vary in price from just $25 for general admission to $100 for premium admission, which includes an advance video and recipe of Chef Amar’s favorite fall dessert, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Bourbon Caramel. You can also bid for dinner with five of your friends at either of Amar’s restaurants.
