Top of the World Hiking Grounds, New Year’s Day, Laguna Beah
On a shockingly beautiful New Year’s Day in Laguna Beach, we meet Miss Harriett, a shockingly beautiful 8-week-0ld English Mastiff pup. (Look at those paws!!)
Harriett had just arrived the night before – “express mail” on New Year’s Eve – from her Wisconsin roots, and this was her first amble out and about with her chosen people. Her people have also recently relocated – they visited Laguna Beach last year for a few weeks and decided it was going to be a much more enjoyable experience raising their kids in sun, sand and surf than the snowier, much colder climes of Chicago.
If anything gives us renewed spirit and hope this New Year, it’s looking in the eyes of this completely delighted and interested pup, Harriett. She has only hope and wonder for the New Year, as we all should.
Be sure to watch for this soon-to-be-giant love of a dog, and welcome her people, too. With Harriett’s blessing, it’s going to be a very good year for all of us.
