Each year in March, our neighboring Ocean Institute in the Dana Point Harbor puts on a fabulous 2-day Jazz Festival. It’s the non-profit organization’s largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds benefitting OI’s Adopt-A-Class program, which bring underserved students to the Ocean Institute for hands-on immersion in whale watching, tall ships sailing, fun educational workshops and more.Saturday Night Gala
On Saturday night, March 2nd, it’s the Institute’s gala dinner with a 5-course gourmet dinner while guests listen to live jazz and participate, again, in a live auction.
Monarch Beach Resort is this year’s Premier Catering Sponsor, so Executive Chef Collin Thorton will be creating two of the gourmet courses at Saturday night’s gala dinner. Additionally, chefs from our own Montage Laguna Beach and The Ranch at Laguna Beach also will be participating.
