The annual Puttin’ On the Glitz event in San Clemente shuts down the entire Avenida Del Mar from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. for carriage rides, holiday shopping, Santa visits, train rides, a beer and wine garden and live entertainment. The city’s tree lighting takes place at 5:15 p.m.

It starts as a full day of entertainment with Santa’s Village by the Sea, which starts at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Center for children’s activities and family fun. At 5:00, the Christmas at the Casa event continues with children’s activities and crafts, hot cocoa, a bell choir, the Casa tree lighting and a prelim Santa visit before everyone heads to the Glitz event.
