This is included in the Best of Laguna Beach Calendar because it took about 19 years and a whole lot of haggling to get to this point … The City of Laguna Beach invites all to join them as they break ground Tuesday, Sept 11 at 4 p.m. on the long-awaited Village Entrance Project.

Located where Laguna Canyon Road becomes Broadway at Forest Ave, the Village Entrance Project focuses on improving pedestrian, vehicle and bicyclist circulation while providing enhanced parking, new channel fencing, new lighting and extensive landscaping while linking the downtown, the festivals and the art district. The event will be attended by the public, elected officials and media. The ceremony will take place near 725 Laguna Canyon Road (between Parking Lot 10 and Parking Lot 11).
