Wine & Painting Nights – Koi Fish
July 20, 2019 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Three longtime and popular artists – Mark Jacobucci, Mike Tauber and Anthony Salvo – are offering specific painting subjects on Saturday evenings. This is super cool (and non-intimidating fun), whether you choose to paint sunsets, donuts or the Monterey coastline. These sell out very quickly, so get on it. Here are notes on each week’s artist and subject matter that you’ll be painting and taking home with you.
Cost is $75 and includes supplies, complimentary wine or beverage and Festival admission. Classes begin at 8:30 p.mm. and are 1.5 hours. You must be 21 years of age or older. Reservations are absolutely required.
On July 20th and Aug 17th, Mike Tauber teaches you how to paint Koi Fish.
Mike Tauber is a full-time professional artist specializing in painterly landscapes in tile. He completed his BA Degree in art at San Diego State University in 1985. He worked as an architectural illustrator and muralist throughout the 1990s when he installed commissions in Baja California, Queensland Australia, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, and throughout the western United States.
In the mid-2000’s, he expanded into the ceramic tile medium for projects at public locations and exteriors. His tiles have been selected for the prestigious juried show at the Museum Gallery of Yosemite National Park, annually 2012-2015. Tauber’s multi-award winning work has been commissioned by, or is in the collection of, Festival of Arts-Laguna Beach, Kaiser Permanente, Whole Foods Markets, San Diego Airport, City of Laguna Beach, City of Tustin, PIMCO Foundation, and many more.
