Tonight was the last night for French 75’s immaculate chocolate soufflés. After 15 years of great jazz, lively clientele and memorable escargot dishes, French 75 has called it a day. The company has sold its restaurant to a new restaurant group that will be introducing Teemu Tavern & Grill in the month of April, 2013.
I, for one, don’t know that I can endure life without the famous soufflés. Perhaps John, Rudy and the rest of the gang will introduce the speciality at their Savannah Chop House in Dana Point . . .
Thanks for the memories, French 75. Yours was the first restaurant I tried in Laguna Beach, and it had a lot to do with all the reasons I moved here. The town will miss you.
