This Holiday Gift idea is part of my growing list of Holiday Gift Ideas from Laguna Beach because … well, really … if you’re going to buy gifts for people in your life, they might as well be as unique and eclectic as Laguna Beach is, right?
[singlepic id=549 w=320 h=240 mode=watermark float=right]Since the dog-centric shop, Anything Canine, arrived in Laguna Beach, our dogs here have been much more fashionable and sassier. Anything Canine is a pet store cornucopia of dog gifts, clothing, collars, and very cool gadgetry to help make your dog’s life that much more sublime. You can walk in this store blindfolded, grab the first thing you stumble into, and be assured any dog owner on your list will be delighted.
I, however, happen to love this idea – the Sidekick Car Seat for dogs. No more sliding around on your unexpected braking. No more spilling to the floor when you have to dodge someone who’s veered into your lane. No more flying to the back cargo seat when you have to suddenly accelerate. Bottom line: Dogs everywhere have got to be thanking North Laguna Beach resident Barbara Pietra for coming up with this comfy “pouf” that kinda resembles a bean bag without the beans.

Then, simply move it to the car and buckle it in to any standard car seat belt. The Sidekick provides a forgiving short leash that you simply attach to your dog’s collar. Voila, your dog is hanging out on his (or her) motion-resistant pouf while, at the same time, being secured against sudden flying or sprawling activity.
