Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Egg Coloring Laguna Beach

Easter seems to have dropped in early this year on March 31st, but our ever-popular Laguna Beach Easter event people are ready and waiting for the hordes of kids. Here’s a quick look at Laguna Beach Easter Egg hunts, Laguna Beach Easter Egg coloring events and Easter brunches on Easter Sunday

Sunday, March 31st, Annual Laguna Beach Easter Egg Coloring Event – 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Madison Square Garden & Cafe, North Laguna Beach

Owner Jon Madison is at it again with Laguna Beach’s most famous Easter Egg Coloring Event. This year, he’s planning to boil up about 200-300 eggs, and provides all the stencils, colors, and dipping sauce any kid might need for that masterpiece egg. As Madison’s is one of the dog-friendliest places in town, you’re welcome to pack up kids and dogs and head on down for some great (if a little chaotic) fun. (You might have to hep your dogs with the Easter egg dipping … it’s that whole opposable thumb issue, poor things.)

Sunday, March 31st, Annual Laguna Beach Easter Egg Hunt –  1:00 p.m., Laguna Beach High School baseball fields

For more than 50 years, the American Legion has been finding a way to produce THE Easter Bunny for all the Laguna Beach kids. (No kidding! These people have serious connections.)  Come on down at 1:00 Easter Sunday for this can’t miss Easter Egg Hunt. Kids 9 years of age and and younger are invited to bring empty Easter baskets and participate in the free activities. Arrive early for pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Big Brunches on Easter Sunday

Of course, a number of our Laguna Beach restaurants in town are offering Easter brunch and dinners, but for those of you looking for a bigger experience, both the Montage Resort and the Ritz-Carlton just south of us in Laguna Niguel are offering their annual Easter events.

At Laguna Beach’s beloved Montage Resort, it’s an Easter Brunch from 10:30 – 4 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. A 12-station “endless food” buffet is accompanies by a live jazz trio. For kids, the Easter Bunny will be posing for photos, and an Easter Egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the grounds. Sorry, kids can only participate in the Easter Egg hunt if they are participants of the brunch or resort guests. Brunch pricing is $105 for adults and $45 for children, 4 to 12 years of age. Children under the age of 4 are free. Reservations are (866) 271-6953.

At the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel, the Big Easter Brunch and enormous Easter eggs on display takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The champagne buffet brunch is accompanied by live entertainment, and kids are entertained with the Easter Bunny (busy guy this day) for photos and cookie decorating.Pricing is $110 for adults, $55 per child, ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are complimentary. Call for reservations, (949) 240-2000.
