Now that you’re done doing all your holiday running around (you are done, aren’t you?) … it’s time for the annual Christmas Cabaret celebration at Laguna Nursery.
As I’ve mentioned many times prior, Laguna Nursery offers a live cabaret right in the middle of this beautiful Nursery several times a year. Each time, it’s a wealth of great, live music from singing, piano and other instrumental talents. Ruben Flores also serves up great food and drink for a lively night all around.
But the Laguna Nursery Christmas Cabaret, in particular, is one special and memorable hoot. Not only does Ruben offer live music all day long at the Nursery on Friday, Dec. 20, but the real party begins at 6:30 p.m. with solos, duets, amazing piano and, yes, Christmas carol sing-alongs.
It’s a burble of fun and energy as mostly-locals crowd in for seasonal food, drink and all-around holiday cheer. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Call the Nursery at 949-494-5200 to reserve yours.
Of course, the entire Nursery is open for business, too, and the Christmas Cabaret offers a perfect opportunity to ramble through this decadent offering of the most unique gifts imaginable. For me, it takes at least three rounds through the various rooms and outdoor nursery areas just to get an idea of what’s available – there are thousands of items tucked in every nook and cranny, and propped on every table and shelf. Even the many different birds in all their bird cages are for sale.
