The Annual Pacific Marine Mammal Gala is still nearly six weeks away (Sunday, Sept. 28th), yet all but a few remaining tables are already spoken for.
This popular fundraising event for the Pacific Marine Mammal Center takes place again this year at The Ranch, which sits at the Ben Brown Golf Course.
Cocktail hour begins at 5:30, with a sit-down dinner, silent and live auctions and live entertainment by someone so fun and unexpected that I’m not even going to give away her name quite yet. . . .
The Ongoing Raffle
Yes, raffle tickets are still available to win the use of a Kia Optima Hybrid for an entire year. Raffle tickets are $20 a piece or 7 (SEVEN!) for $100 (what a savings!). In so doing, you’re helping out the very dear entity that I support with my book sales and my time – the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in the Canyon. You don’t have to be present to win, so email me at Diane@LagunaBeachBest.com and let’s get you some raffle tickets!
You might find it hard to believe, but once you’re tucked back in The Ranch with our town’s only 9-hole golf course in sight, you have a fantastically “forest-like” environment around you. Deer meander up to the event, birds of all sorts are busy serenading the sunset, and the resulting stars are pristinely clearer than just two blocks west above our beaches.
Last year’s popular Marine Mammal Cabaret sold out three months in advance, so organizers this year asked The Ranch if they could expand with a number of added tables. Apparently, the community’s good will and concern for our seals and sea lions has never been greater as even the newly added tables are filling at record pace.
These folks at the PMMC definitely need your support, particularly after the enormous influx of sick sea lions and seals two years in a row.
While it is humble in its appearance, our Laguna Canyon Mammal Center is one of the busiest and most efficient in the state of California, and it relies on this PMMC Gala as its primary fundraiser each year.
Tickets are just $200 per person or $1,7,50 for a VIP table of 8. Purchase Marine Mammal Cabaret tickets online, or call Daniela at (949) 494-3050 to reserve your seat.
