As most of my readers know by now, I’m a complete sap for the seals and sea lions that come into the PMMC (Pacific Marine Mammal Center).
They show up so beaten down and starving, it’s heartbreaking to see. But, in just a matter of a few months, the PMMC studiously nurses them back to health (each has his or her own fish shake, for starters!)
I’ve written big stories about their saviours at the PMMC. I’ve found wonderful chefs in this town to support the PMMC in big ways, and I’ve asked more than one of you to buy raffle tickets to support this little hospital in our canyon. And still, it never seems like a business when I get to see these seals released, healthy and vibrant and so free.
The above is a quick video of the latest release on Saturday, Nov. 15th. Three sea lions made their way to freedom – and in such a hurry that I could hardly get my camera on them. So much fun to see. The PMMC rocks. For donations to their non-profit cause, see their website: How to Help
