For 11 years now, the fabulously successful Girl’s Night Out, a fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, has been hosted at the breathtaking Rockledge estate. Sadly, this will be its last year as the Rockledge homeowners have new plans for their future.
All the more reason to go all-in this year, yes?
On Sept. 19th, the $150 ticket finds you a perch on the – literal – edge of the continent in one of the most celebrated homes on the Southern California coast. The all-girls’ event proffers all-evening pampering, shopping and swag bags to end all swag bags.
For nine years now, my friends, Archie and Gretchen, at Starfish Laguna Beach have been the catering host for the event. The trays of freshly made food never stop coming.
This year, in addition to a number of “most wanted” silent auction items, Newport Beach’s Winston’s Crown Jewelers has donated more than $10,000 in diamond-studded jewelry and white pearl strands. Guests simply purchase a $75 “opportunity drawing” ticket and cross their fingers for the announcement that will bring them a thousands-plus jewelry box of goodness from Winston’s.
It’s a great fun night of networking and shopping in the name of one of Laguna Beach’s finest non-profits around, The Boys & Girls Club, which provides a safe after-school place for kids, offering everything from homework support to arts, sports and recreation programs.
