With Ruben Flores’ (sad) closure of the Nursery at month’s end, there are just two Nursery Cabarets remaining and, as you can imagine, tickets are already close to sell out as this is the community’s last goodbye to this awesome oasis.
On Thursday, Aug. 27th, Charlene Mignault is flying in from Montreal for her last performance at the Cabaret. She sings a great combination of French and English jazz and throws in an occasional other language (we think she’s mastered at least five). Special guests David Allen Baker and Gary Matsumoto will be joining Charlene on stage. Tickets are $35 in advance, $45 at the door by calling (949) 494-5200.
Then, on Saturday, Aug. 29th, The Cabaret does its last curtain call with “The Best Of” show – piano talent Saif Eddin will be joined by an absolute ménage of crowd favorite singers.
There’s a darned good chance this last hurrah will carry well past its usual closing hour of 10:30 p.m., and it’s sure to be a memorable one. Tickets for the Saturday show are $45 in advance, $55 at the door, same number (949) 494-5200.
