Normally, custom pet portraits are a little funny looking or seem hastily made, but Deborah Sussex has made a true art out of each and every family pet portrait she creates.
Based here in Laguna Beach for several years, Deborah’s gorgeous ocean and scenic paintings are in various galleries throughout town, but her pet portraits are “made to order.” I’ve actually seen Deborah work through a pet painting and I’ve got to say – your pet becomes her pet; she falls in love with each of her subjects and it shows.

And, while she paints plenty of pets who are happily alive and well, she also paints photos of pets you’ve loved that have passed on. What a great way to keep their spirit alive in your home! Of course, your completed pet painting can be shipped anywhere in the world.
It takes about a week or so for Deborah to complete each pet portrait.
